My Little Pony - The Mystery Of BlanktownTrottingham was a town in Equestria that had been founded by unicorns sometime before Ponyville, but now earth ponies and pegasi lived there just as much as the magical ponies. When the town was founded, an old painting of a strange creature, a pony with dragon features, was presented to the then Mayor, Serenity, as a gift. The painting was of a terrible creature named Avarice who had been defeated by the Elements of Harmony several centuries ago. However, after several more centuries, nopony remembered what had happened or who Avarice was. Nopony really liked the painting, despite its prominent place on the wall of the town hall.
